Hi, I’m Jennifer, a self-taught artist with a deep love for animals, nature, and the joy of creative expression. I live in the Houston, Texas area with my husband, Kraig, and our beloved rescue dogs, who constantly inspire my work. Beyond our home, I am actively involved in fostering and supporting local rescue groups, advocating for the adoption of shelter pets in need of loving families.
From a young age, I discovered my passion for drawing and painting animals, and that love has only grown. My work focuses on capturing the essence and spirit of pets through detailed, heartfelt portraits. Each piece is infused with care, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to honoring the unique personality of every beloved companion.
Alongside painting, I have a deep love for creating in many forms. I enjoy woodworking on the lathe, crafting beautiful handmade pieces from wood, and exploring different artistic techniques beyond the canvas. Whether I’m bringing a pet’s portrait to life, shaping a unique piece of woodwork, or experimenting with vibrant colors and expressive brush strokes, I find immense joy in the process of creation.
Nature and time outdoors—whether it’s gardening, walking, or simply being surrounded by beauty—continually inspire my artistic journey. I create each portrait using high-quality reference photos sent via email, and I’ll keep you updated on the progress every step of the way.
