Taking care of your new cutting board takes a little bit of work every couple of weeks. If you follow these steps, your board will last a lifetime!
1 - Do not place in dishwasher.
2 - Do not let soak in sink
3 - After use, wash both sides, even the side you didn't use. You want the whole board to get wet.
4 - Immediately towl dry and stand on edge to fully dry. Standing on edge allows moisture to evaporate evenly on both sides of the board, which is what we want.
5 - Once dry, apply food grade mineral oil to all surfaces of the board. Front, back, sides, ends, nooks and crannys. Allow to soak in for a couple of hours. Wipe off any excess after allowing to soak in.
6 - Apply Bogie's Board Butter with inclulded applicator. Get a little on the applicator and rub it in. Again, both sides, ends and edges. Allow to soak in overnight, again standing on edge.
7 - In the morning, buff the board to a nice finish and you're good to go again!
Repeat every 3-4 washes or if the board seems dry.
